Wikileaks.org has been ordered shut down by a California judge. Censorship of the web is going to be a growing problem in the coming years... yes, even here in the US. I will write more about it when I don't have previous engagments. Other versions of the page based in other countries are still up. Here is a direct link to the UK version of the US page.

The great cash scam
Pretend for a minute that you produce a good or service (which you probably do). For the purpose of this example you make baskets. I walk through though town and find your store. I walk in and love your work. I go to purchase baskets that you worked hard on but I tell you that my friend Tom charges a fee from the money I am going to give you. You would probably say Tom can go fuck himself right?
When I tell it to you like that it sounds dumb, but this is happening to us all. We are charged for our own money! We all work hard for some crappy business to get a pay check. We take that check to our bank and they charge you use checks or atm's to use the money. This is in spite of the fact that while you have YOUR money in the bank, the bank loans it out to other people or puts the money into a money market account. At worst its about 5% they make on YOUR money.
Its even worse if you don't have a bank account. Most check cashing places charge anywhere from 3 to as much as 11% of your check to give you YOUR money. A certain bank near me charges 5$ to cash checks that originated with their bank. A coworker of mine told me today that she went over her balance by less than a dollar. When the letter notifying her that she was overdrawn reached her she was 90$ in debt due to fees from the bank! Keep this in mind next time you go cash your check and when the banker tells you 'thanks' and 'have a nice day' you give them a hearty 'go fuck yourself!'

Monarchy in the US
Its bad enough that we are stuck with this two party system in the states, but even worse is the idea that we are moving toward a two FAMILY system. Is anyone else terrified that this nation could be under control of the Bush-Clinton dynasty for twenty more years!? Eight years of another Clinton and then what? Jeb? Chelsea? Both families are pro-war, pro-globalization, and pro-censorship. Does choice really scare us this much? I have been told more than once that voting libertarian or other third party is throwing my vote away, but who is really throwing thier votes away. Which skull and bones would you prefer? Which Clinton-Bush do you like in the next election? Are you shitting me?
